Petty
Petty knife with a blade that measures 150 mm.
Masashi Yamamoto is the brother of Kazuomi Yamamoto, the current head of the Yoshikane factory. Masashi is nowadays an independent knife maker who lives in Sanjo, Japan. His blades are something extra for sure. These knives have a high gloss damascus polish and super thin edges. The profile is tall and the knives have a large flat. Nobody can argue with the cutting performance, this is a relentless potato killer.
Handle in enju wood with buffalo horn bolster. The shape is half roud (Okto on top eith oval bottom).
Blade height: 31 mm
Blades length: 150 mm
Weight: 70 grams
Semi stainless is NOT 100% stainless. Be sure to wipe off all moist directly after use to avoid rust.
Disclaimer: Japanese knives have thin edges with high hardness. This makes them much more fragile than traditional european knives. These blades should under no circumstances be subject to twisting, prising or cutting into hard objects. Such handling could easily cause damage to the edge, something that is not valid ground for a warranty claim.
