Santoku

Santoku knife with 170 mm blade
The Yu Kurosaki 'Kokusen' series showcases stunning craftsmanship, combining exceptional performance with a striking aesthetics. Kurosaki is known for his innovative designs and premium material choices, and this knife is no exception.
Featuring Aogami Super carbon steel core, the blade is razor-thin and offers extraordinary edge retention. The stainless cladding is hammered, darkened, and polished, creating a bold contrast with the shimmering edge.
This model is fitted with an octagonal ebony handle accented by dual brass bolsters, adding a luxurious feel and increased weight. The balance point is shifted slightly backward, making it more similar to Western-handled Japanese knives rather than the pinch-grip forward balance of lighter Japanese blades.
Note: Due to natural wood expansion and contraction with humidity changes, the transition between brass and wood may be noted initially but will smooth out over time. The humidity is rather high i Japan and its common feel a slight ridge whenever wood meets metal.
