The stone is called koppa due to its irregular shape. A very nice natural stone that can be used as a finishing stone for straight razors, kiridashi, as a nagura for larger stones, or simply as material for making finger stones.

The five stones in the image have an average weight of 375 grams. They come in various shapes and thicknesses. Feel free to contact us if you have specific requests.

The natural stones from Nakayama are hard and fine-grained. However, they are not super hard and release a slight amount of slurry. Not much, but more than just water turning metal-colored.
