Edge Fix sharpener
Kategori
Edge Fix is a unique product that gives the market for semi-automated grinding tools a real boost. The patented construction is significantly different from traditional roller sharpeners and the result is very good. The difference is partly that Edge Fix uses flat rods that provide a significantly larger sharpening surface. The secret is that the rods (which are in a V shape) are pushed apart the further down you go and they also turn sideways if you turn the knife. In short, the rods follow the movement of the knife and we at cleancut can attest that the system works very well.
EDGE FIX sharpens and polishes the knife in two steps to an optimal sharpness with the new patented sharpening technology SAF (Self Adjusting Function) which optimizes the sharpening effect and eliminates incorrect angular movement during the sharpening process. It sharpens and polishes both Japanese and European knives because the sharpening angle can be adjusted. First, the edge is ground to 30 or 40 degrees with the diamond rods and then polished with finer ceramics.
1. Choose angle of Edge Fix (15+15 degrees or 20+20 degrees)
2. Push the edge through the V shape with diamond rods repeatedly. Edgefix removes metal and helps you produce 'burr'.
3. Turn the rods to the ceramic and draw the edge through the slot with ceramic rods until the edge becomes very sharp.

When do we at cleancut consider Edge Fix a good buy?
We recommend this sharpening to those who have a European or a Japanese knife in standard design. The edge is not excessively thin and delicate. You simply have a dull knife that you want to sharpen. It delivers Edge Fix, and we've tested the product ourselves extensively to ensure it lives up to expectations.
When do we not recommend Edge Fix?
For those who have a very thin and brittle edge, the Edge Fix diamond rods are too rough a tool. The knife will of course be very sharp, but an extremely thin edge needs to be sharpened on stone to maintain its thin edge.
