Nigara Hamono has its manufacturing in the Japanese city of Hirosaki. Since the 17th century, the Nigara family has manufactured a variety of tools focusing on kitchen knives. In this series, premium SG2 steel is used, which gives the knife unmatched cutting characteristics and sharpness. The blade is thin and lightweight and the delicate edge perfectly glides through the produce. For the handle, Nigara has chosen to use wenge wood with a bolster in black buffalo horn. The combination of handle and blade is stunning and we are sure that this knife series will be immensely popular.
Note: Each measurement can vary slightly. Its a hand made product.
Disclaimer: Japanese knives have thin edges with high hardness. This makes them much more fragile than traditional european knives. These blades should under no circumstances be subject to twisting, prising or cutting into hard objects. Such handling could easily cause damage to the edge, something that is not valid grounds for a warranty claim.
