Shiro Kamo is one of our most valued blacksmiths. He has visited us in the store a number of times and he has also held a sharpening demonstration for our customers. Shiro Kamo lives and works in Takefu, which is located in western Japan. There, for many years, he has helped to build Takefu Knife Village, which is a large factory where about twenty blacksmiths work side by side. Some of these blacksmiths are Kato, Kitaoka and Kurosaki. Shiro Kamo is very humble and takes his work very seriously. His knives are forged entirely by hand in both carbon steel and stainless steel and the blades are very thin. Shiro Kamo is both a skilled blacksmith and a very humble and nice man. For us, it is an honor to have the opportunity to supply Shiro Kamo knives.
