This knife features an Aogami #1 carbon steel core, capable of taking an incredibly sharp edge. The shape and finish are classic examples of the Sakai style, where blacksmith Satoshi Nakagawa is based. The handle is made from stabilized maple.

Satoshi Nakagawa is one of the most skilled blacksmiths in Sakai, Japan. After working for 16 years as a blacksmith under Shiraki, Nakagawa became independent, giving him full control over design and production methods. He forges his blades using traditional Japanese forging techniques, producing blades of the highest possible quality. The knife has a pleasant weight and feels exceptionally well-balanced in the hand. The edge itself is very thin, giving the knife outstanding cutting performance.
