Satoshi Nakagawa is a young and highly skilled blacksmith from Sakai, Osaka. He trained under master craftsman Kenichi Shiraki and founded his own forge, Nakagawa Hamono, in 2021. In 2023 he became the youngest smith ever certified as a Traditional Craftsman in Sakai.
Nakagawa is one of the few smiths able to forge honyaki blades, and he works with both traditional carbon steels and modern stainless steels.
