Restoring a
Shiro Kamo Ryuga
Some knives are very challenging to thin at home using whetstones. Knives with a convex grind like this bunka from the Ryuga series is a good example.
We thinned it out using the same methods and similar equipment as the japanese knife manufacturers use, afterwards we polished it and gave it a fresh finish to make it look as close to new as possible.
Modifying a Yaxell Zen Nakiri
In this case, the customer wanted to completely remake his knife. From a worn out nakiri into a Bunka model.
We gave the blade a significally thinner grind for enhanced performance, then polished it to give it a brand new look.
