Ohishi makes very fine, well-crafted kitchen knives. The knives have a satisfying weight and excellent balance. They also offer great value for money and come razor-sharp out of the box.

The blade is made from the highly popular and high-performance VG-10 steel. The core steel is surrounded by 34 layers of softer steel, creating a beautiful Damascus pattern.

The handle is made from a mix of black and brown pakka wood. It is very well balanced and features three rivets, a bolster and a full tang.

Clean the knife after use.
Wash by hand using the soft side of a dish sponge and a little dishwashing liquid.
Rinse the blade especially thoroughly after contact with salty foods.

Leaving salt or moisture on the blade for extended periods.

Stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion, but it is not completely rust-proof. Salt and moisture left on the blade can, over time, cause small rust spots or pitting.
